Pictures Above the Bed
When I moved to California from New York, where I enjoyed hanging pictures above my bed, several people told me that I couldn’t put anything on the wall behind my bed due to earthquakes. I listened for three years, but after a while I got tired of how bare my bedroom looked. I did some research and found picture-hanging hooks specifically designed to hold pictures on the wall when the ground rumbles.
My Nightstand
Chris’s alarm titled “Monday” that he wrote for me in 2024. You can listen to the song here. Sneakers that I’ve never worn, because they are not my fashion style, but I love the way they look. I bought them with a gift card my mother-in-law Joanne gave me, otherwise I never would have splurged. Book I bought, because I like the author and love the design (but haven’t read yet). Copy of Robin Hood my Grandma gave me when I was in elementary school. Alarm clock Chris and I bought when we first moved in together in July 2018. Dreambox my parents gave me for Christmas [probably over ten years ago]. Wood vase I got summer 2013 in Sedona when I was studying for the New York bar thereDuckling I call Lux, because I bought him in Luxembourg with Jason when I lived in Paris and he visited me. Wood camel I got in Abu Dhabi when I went on a work trip there for NYU Abu Dhabi in [2009/2010]. Wood carving my Grandma gave me for Christmas that she purchased at the Watchtower after a trip we made to the Grand Canyon with my mom. Round, silver handles I bought in August 2013 to replace the plastic ones attached to the doors of the bedroom closet of my apartment on Ludlow Street. Lamp base Chris and I got in summer 2024 at World Market in Farmers Market. Lamp shade from the concrete lamps we used to have in our bedroom that we got when we moved into our Clinton St. apartment in July 2018.
